The Magic of Focus

“Don't wait. The time will never be just right.“
                                          Napoleon Hill

We need to stay focused on following our bliss, don't we? But it gets difficult when we are so busy with duties, responsibilities, obligations and schedules. So then, when do we get to come out and play?

How would it be to have a job that was the same as play? Some do, but many of us are mired in lives that neither feed our souls nor allow us to blossom into the magnificent beings we were meant to be. It’s strange, but when we are following our bliss, we are actually more productive and more contributory to our families, communities and the world because our inherent personal power is in league with the Universal Creative Power* around us.

But how do we get there? No we cannot just abandon all our obligations, but we can enlist the power of the Universe* to our team by simply focusing on our visions throughout each day. It is the natural path to success. What vision you may ask? The vision that comes from within your heart, the one that fills you with joy and allows you to do things that constantly make your soul giggle. It is the vision recognized by this Universe of which you are such a vital part. For example, if your vision is to live in the country and be a successful writer, yet you have a job in Trafficville and are raising three kids while trying to balance your twelve-hour-a-day life of putting out fires, you can still be focused on what you really want.

And you can watch it gradually coming true. Just write it down and see the magic start working. When we concentrate on what we want and become committed to it, all sorts of changes happen around us that move us closer to actualizing our vision. Sure, we must take action as well, but most often that action is simply to say yes when new opportunities arise.

Why not try it now? Get a clear vision of being, doing and having a life of pure joy, condense that scene into one sentence and then write it down every day! Those who write their visions even once have an 85% greater chance of actualizing them. Know that the Great Mind* that creates all is connected to you and supportive of your vision. By writing down and becoming committed to your vision, you are making a contract with the Universe, signaling that you are ready to move. And then the road will begin to open before you.

But staying on that road will still require focus, right? Amid the storms of daily duty it is too easy to get distracted and to remove our attention and thus our creative power from where we want to go. Put the written vision up where you can see it, where it is a constant guide for your daily life and be sure then, that whatever you are doing somehow supports the vision.

Focus is also of vital importance to those of us in chronic pain as we continually remind ourselves that we are not our pain; that we have a vibrant life outside of the pain. Awful pain requires a constant determination to concentrate not on what hurts but on the beauty around us. I know this process well because for the past three and a half years I’ve not had a moment free of the pain from crushed spinal nerves. I focus on being well, on being active and strong and I focus on the joy of knowing my work  makes a difference in others' lives. Thank you!

A Bit of Humor
A group of Americans, traveling by tour bus through Holland, stopped at a cheese farm and watched as a young lady walked them through the process of making goat’s cheese. At the end of her tour she pointed out a lovely hillside where older, non productive goats were grazing. “Do Americans put their old goats in such a beautiful place?” She asked.

“No,” said a man, “they send us on bus tours.”

Our Hero
Stephen Cherniske flies over a hundred thousand miles a year demonstrating to hundreds of audiences how they can create long, healthy lives through cellular renewal. Stephen not only travels a great deal, he is also Chief Science Officer for a company with sixty scientists in laboratories in two countries. His book The Metabolic Plan is a best seller and many weeks he works more hours than most work in two, yet he is tireless in his committment to help people around the world reduce pain and renew their bodies. When we hear him speak, we see no weariness and that seems amazing. I believe he is constantly revitalized by the supplements he helped create and by doing his life’s work and, in the process, he reminds us that if we are doing our life's work we are constantly renewed. Stephen Cherniske, thanks for being a pioneer, a genius and a leader who is making an enormous difference in our world. We are honored to acknowledge you as our hero!
